Chinese Lantern Festival — House of Lafond

My family and I were able to enjoy the beautiful artistry at the Chinese Lantern Festival in Pomona, CA. We walked through the festival and saw amazing lanterns lit in detailed animal shapes. My children were captivated by how beautiful the lions, tigers and bears looked as they lit the night. Yasir was most excited to see all of the dinosaurs and growled at each one. Anaiah loved seeing all of the beautiful colors while Zariah was amazed by their size.

Not only were the lanterns fun to see but the performances were also. There were performers using fans as well as swords. Anaiah now wants to learn how to use a fan. We were definitely impressed with all of the art and culture that the festival had. Hashim and I stopped to slow dance to the music and the girls of course copied and shared a dance of their own. The festival is a great place to capture family photos and make great memories. The Chinese Lantern Festival will run for 8 weeks: Every Thursday – Sunday, from November 15, 2018 - January 6, 2019, plus holidays. Children under 3 get in free!
