A Wrinkle in Time — House of Lafond

Anaiah and I went on a special Mommy/ Daughter date to see A Wrinkle in Time. It was an absolutely amazing movie. A great story with beautiful imagery. Anaiah is a bit young to fully understand the entire plot, but she loved it! She definitely understood the theme of the story.

Anaiah has stated a number of times that she loves the dresses that the Misses wore. She has made a special request for me to get her the dresses. She came home from the movie and told Hashim that she wants the dresses in the movie. Of course her Daddy is going to try his best to find her one. I hope they make them for Halloween costumes. Anaiah would be the happiest girl ever.

She also noticed that the main character in the movie played my Storm Reid, looks like her. She was very excited to tell me that the girl in the movie is a brown girl just like her. She was in love with her curly hair because she has curly hair just like her. Representation is very important to our children and it definitely does matter.
